    ...Four pitches with spectacular views....

Along a coastal footpath, four individual pitches sit on a raised slate plateau beside the Dyfi’s banks, providing the ultimate waterside location and amazing scenery.

Separated from each other by shrubs, the pitches are tucked beneath trees, each with plenty of space, and their own firepit.  Enjoying uninterrupted views across the water to Ynys-hir bird reserve, Ynyslas sand dunes and the National Nature Reserve of Borth Bog.

Your tent looks out onto a constantly changing vista: at low tide, sand and the river channel, marching geese and waders. We are 2 miles from nesting ospreys who fish in our water. At high tide, there's an expanse of water suitable for sailing, canoeing and swimming (please be aware of fast tides & currents).

Each camping spot has it's own firepit.

The pitches are accessed by a (90m) pathway from car park through a traditional working boatyard and then along a (100m) rugged slate coastal path (wheelbarrows provided!) which runs between the river and the treeline, beneath the embankment of the raised coastal road.  Please be aware of uneven ground along the route.

 

 

Each pitch has a mix of a wood chip base to put your tent on (reducing mud in wet weather), and part grassy area.  

Pitch sizes are approximate:  Leri pitch - wood chip tent pad is 5m wide by 3.5m deep, and 7m wide by 5m deep including grassy areas with an extra bit of space around fire pit with slate shingle.  Dyfi pitch - wood chip pad is 6m wide by 4m, and 9m wide by 5m deep including grassy areas.  Dulas pitch - wood chip pad is 7m wide by 4m, and 7m wide by 5.5m with grassy area at front, extending to 6.5 deep next to the fire pit.  Angell pitch - wood chip pad is 7m wide by 4m, but the whole pitch including grassy areas is large - 13m wide by 5m deep at narrowest point, 6m to the fire pit.

The newest pitch, Leri, is first one along the path, it is slightly more exposed to wind than our other pitches, on the corner of the headland.  It is slightly smaller than our other pitches.

Toilets, showers and washing up facilities are shared with other campers and located within the boatyard.
